B-hub for Europe

B-hub for Europe is a Startup Europe supported project dedicated to connecting blockchain innovation ecosystems. It contributes to blockchain ecosystem development by leveraging European technological excellence and supporting the growth of businesses that are integrating blockchain in their products and solutions. B-hub's offer is threefold:

Spherik Accelerator

Founded in 2013, Spherik has pioneered the development of the Romanian innovation market by facilitating strategic support between startups and corporations/investment funds, developing close partnerships with European and US partners. SPK tops the ranks in acceleration - awarded the Best Acceleration program in Romania for 3 years in a row by CESA; became the Startup Europe Ambassador in Romania in 2018; founded the CEE Startup Network in 2019 with the support of Commissioner Maryia Gabriel.

Who can join as a participant?

Both tech & non-tech people are welcome! Either with blockchain / tech background, or business, marketing, sales, product, etc.

Can I register my entire team?

Due to privacy regulations we strongly advise registering individually.

How many people can form a team?

3 to 7 people is a good number to have in a team.

How does the hackathon work?

Teams will form around ideas and will follow a series of webinars and mentoring sessions to guide them through the work process.

Do I have to work for 8 days full-time?

Definitely NO. We expect you to work during the weekends and Monday to Friday is dedicated to mentoring sessions, by demand.

What is the agenda?

February 13-14 and 20 are full working days, and during the week you can access mentoring sessions by demand.

Who are the mentors?

We have gathered a series of experts from various fields, as well as public administration representatives.

I’ve never pitched, what do I do?

  • We’ll hold a special pitching workshop followed by a pitch practice and feedback session for each of the teams.

What do I get if I win?

  • The first 3 winning teams will join a 3-months incubation program.

How does the final pitching work?

  • The teams will pitch in “front” of a jury on Saturday, February 20th. The jury is made of B-hub for Europe representatives, public sector stakeholders, and other experts.
